Shortcrust Pastry
Ingredients
- 15ozs soft margarine
- 24ozs flour
- 6ozs icing sugar
- 1 egg
Method
Place margarine, half of the flour and icing sugar and egg into mixing bowl.
Beat well.
Add remaining flour and sugar, and beat.
Knead gently and place in a plastic bag for at least an hour.
This pastry is ideal for apple tarts and mince pies.
Cooking Temperature – 180 C
