Wall Collapse, Ghana - Caused by scaffolding
John Cartledge explained how the wall collapsed during the construction phase at his new Christian Bookshop in Ghana.
John, a reformed alcoholic from England with a promising football career, told how the men were working from scaffolding laid against a recently build block wall when the wall fell inwards and the men fell with the wall. He praises God that no one was seriously injured.
On reflection this was an accident waiting to happen as the scaffolding is supported at an angle from the ground, which was pressing against the freshly laid wall where the concrete was not set.
