Convoy is a growing town, which has some local shops and amenities. Larger towns are close by with Letterkenny only 10 miles away, Derry is 25 miles away with Strabane 10 miles. There is a General Hospital in Letterkenny and good Health Centre in Convoy. Convoy has a protestant primary school with 90 pupils and there is a Comprehensive School in Raphoe, which caters mainly for the protestant population of the area.

Convoy village has doubled in size in recent years and this presents an opportunity for outreach and growth within the church. The church has about 100 families connected. There is an active Sunday School, which children attend during Church and also Youth Club and Badminton meet in the hall. In recent years Family type services have been held on a regular basis and copies of the new Presbyterian Hymn book have recently been acquired to develop worship. Sunday morning worship is at 12 15

Donoughmore, Carnone and Convoy are a 3-point charge in the Donegal Presbytery. Both Carnone and Donoughmore are rural based churches and Convoy is situated in the old mill town of Convoy itself. The 3 congregations are all within 10 minutes drive of each other and have had close links down through the years. The congregation plays an active role in their community and have very good community relations with other local churches and groups
