Donate Second Hand Bibles & Christian Books

Can you donate second hand Bibles and Christian books? For the past few years we have had a Bible and Christian book stall at camp. We have subsidised the prices for the children/ youth and encouraged them to buy and read books which will help them to grow. Among other things it’s been a joy to help a little boy pick out a Bible for his Dad who ‘doesn’t believe in God yet’ and to see children and young people who came to camp with borrowed Bibles taking great pride in buying their own and reading it. Many children love to read books and what a joy to provide them with missionary stories, novels with Christian teaching, creation fact books and lots of other topics. Along with this we would love to build up a small library of second hand books which we could lend/ give to children. If you have anything you don’t need any more and you think would be suitable please do pass it onto us. For example: Bibles, children’s bibles, missionary stories, Christian books for teens, youth/ children’s Bible reading notes (even if they are out of date). (N.B. Anything that we get that’s not suitable we’ll pass onto Book Aid who provide books to Churches in English speaking parts of Africa.). Thank you.

BOOK AID began in 1987 as a positive response to an urgent appeal from overseas Christian Booksellers who were suffering such an acute shortage of books that many were in danger of closing.

BOOK AID is committed to providing Christian literature to overseas areas which are suffering from BOOK FAMINE.

Shipments are normally made to established Christian Bookshops who have agreed a partnership arrangement with Book Aid and who promise to distribute the books they receive at affordable prices to their own customers and to other bookshops, churches and Bible colleges. Help is also given in a variety of other situations such as to individual Bible colleges, Seminaries and Christian schools.

In addition to providing relevant books to needy areas Book Aid supports national literature programmes and initiatives such as local publishing, marketing, training and development through funds generated from book sales.
