Ruth Lockhart, of CEF

Ruth spoke at the Fahan Bread & Cheese Lunch. It was a very informative and interesting time for all age groups.
We had a plate at the door for contributions. All donations were sent to Ruth for support.
Ruthe has to raise her own support in this "Faith Ministry".

A typical signpost in Donegal that Ruth used as used in one of her prayer letters.

Below are a few details written by Ruth in a typical prayer letter:

“The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go”
Joshua 1:9

From Carlow to Castlederg, Fannet to Fermanagh, Kerrykeel to Kildare, Raphoe to Rathmullen .... deputation is a time of travelling around the county and around the country!!

Praise God for this great promise He has given me – “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” As Joshua learned to depend only on the Lord, so I am learning again and again to rely only on Him, during this time of deputation. Be reassured whether in Ireland, in Switzerland, or where ever you find yourself – we are not out of His sight nor out of His protection.

Thank Him for safety as I have travelled many miles (or kilometres). As I have tried to go round all the potholes – although I do think I have hit more of them than I have managed to avoid!!

Thank Him with me for openings to homes, churches and small groups where I have been able to share about my work at Kilchzimmer. January was quiet as far as meetings go. The weather wasn't very good and a lot of activities were closed for a while after Christmas. But I really enjoyed having this time to visit friends and contacts in Donegal. February was a bit busier with deputation meetings in various areas of the country.

Thank Him with me for the strength and courage He has given me as I prepare and speak at many meetings and as I meet many new people.

Thank Him with me for the opportunity I have had to take a computer course a few morning each week. One challenge I had while working in Kilchzimmer's reception was using the computer. I had never worked in an office before and wasn't sure about the programmes I needed to use. It has been a great blessing to learn about excel and databases while I am here. I am sure this will be a great help for my ministry at Kilchzimmer.

Thank Him with me for the many opportunities yet to come. Below my schedule for the next few months, to give you an idea of what I will be doing. If you are in these areas and would like to hear more of what I am doing please do come along. If you need more information on times or places, feel free to get in touch. As you can see there are still lots of space for midweek visits!! I would be happy to come visit a group of your friends or speak to a midweek/church group in your area.

Thank YOU for your interest in my work.

Thank YOU for taking time to read and to share this letter with others.

Thank YOU for your prayers.

“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”  Philippians 1:3-5
