Christmas Craft Fayre 2010

Fahan Presbyterian Church have held a number of Christmas Craft and gift fayres. Below is a snapshot of the 2010 event. It was a very successful occassion despite the inclement weather and heavy snow.

There was a wide choice of hand-made crafts. Many perfect for that special and unique Christmas gift.

 

Logs for sale in euros or sterling by the Fahan young people

The well packed bags of logs were a popular item in the winter weather. The enthuastic children would take your sterling or euro and put the old fertiliser bag in the boot of your car. How could you pass the children without making a purchase?

TTina Bell and Sandra Dougherty (on the right) from Lakeview Hospital, Derry/ Londonderry sold good quantities of hand crafted gifts made by the patients/ clients of this award winning hospital. Trevor is keeping all the`stall holders happy with stew, tea and tray bakes.

The majority of people who came to Christmas Gift and Craft Fayre would stay for tea.

 The popular Tear Craft stall with a range of, hand made products from various overseas countries. Ann McMahon who was in charge of the fantastic stock had a busy day with another craft display in the evening when she was finished selling at Fahan.

The hall was packed moments after opening at 11am as locals and many from farther afield descended on the stalls. The most popular early-on purchases were cakes and tray-bakes.

There was a wide range of well stocked stalls.

Items on offer included: Cards, bee-keeping, flowers, quilting, Donegal Tweed, stitch craft, paintings, silk cards, knitting, crochet, hand painted gifts, hand made bags, patchwork, jeweler, Fairtrade Crafts & Gifts and home baking.
Teas served during the day.
