Rev Joseph Rhea Gammon, Fahan

We were delighted when Flora MacDonald Gammon visited Fahan Presbyterian Church in 2012 tracing her ancestor from Fahan.

Flora is in the  centre of the photograph wit a few members of the Congregation at Fahan.

On You Tube Flora MacDonald Gammon from North Carolina tells the story of how her fifth Great Grandfather, Rev Joseph Rhea Gammon, left his ministry in Fahan Presbyterian Church for the 'New World' in the mid 1700s. Flora tells her story seated in Monreagh Presbyterian Church.

The Rhea family in America is descended from Matthew Rhea of the Campbell Clan of Scotland. His grandson, the Rev. Joseph Rhea of Ireland, emigrated from Ireland to America in the mid-18th century.
