Beef Stroganoff


    • 450g (1lb) Chump Steak
    • 1 Onion finely sliced
    • 110g (4ozs) Button mushrooms or sliced mushrooms
    • 110g (4ozs) Smoked bacon – grilled and cut into strips
    • 1 small carton Double Cream
    • 280ml (1/2 pint) Stock
    • Salt & Pepper
    • Blended Cornflour to thicken 


Cut steak into strips and saute lightly in hot oil in large pan.

Add onions and sauté until meat is well sealed, add stock and seasoning.

Cover and simmer until steak is tender.

Add mushrooms and bacon, cook for 5 minutes. Thicken if necessary.

Add double cream.

Serve immediately and garnish with chopped parsley.
