Florentines

Ingredients

    • 2 cups rice krispies
    • 1 cup kp salted peanuts
    • 1 cup sultanas
    • 7/8 cherries (finely chopped)
    • ½ tin condensed milk
    • cooking chocolate

  

Method

Mix together in a large bowl the rice krispies, sultanas, peanuts and cherries. To this mixture add the condensed milk and stir thoroughly.

Line two tins with parchment paper. Spoon  mixture onto trays. Bake for approx 10 mins, 180 C or Gas mark 4, until golden brown.

When cold spread the base of each biscuit with melted chocolate and leave to set.
